VNIIFTRI of Rosstandart supports cooperation with the Republic of Belarus at the International Conference "Metrology-2024"

Moscow region, April 10 – Scientists and specialists of the Russian Metrological Institute of Technical Physics and Radio Engineering (VNIIFTRI) of Rosstandart took part in the International Scientific and Technical Conference "Metrology 2024", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Belarusian Chamber of Weights and Measures. The conference is taking place in Minsk on April 9-10.

 "Today, VNIIFTRI closely and fruitfully cooperates with the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology, which heads the metrological science and practice in Belarus. We carry out comparisons of our standards and jointly participate in the work of international and regional metrological organizations. New scientific initiatives contribute to the expansion of mutual integration of technologies and the exchange of experience and knowledge between organizations and countries," said Sergey Donchenko, General Director of the FSUE “VNIIFTRI”.

 Sergey Donchenko made a report at the conference on "Achievements in the field of coordinate-temporal measurements in the Russian Federation". Scientists made reports on Russian-Belarusian cooperation in the field of electrochemical measurements and measurements of particle parameters, issues of expanding measuring capabilities and improving separate State primary standards of the Russian Federation, as well as on the development of a reference base in the field of long length measurement and location coordinates in the Russian Federation.

 VNIIFTRI is actively involved in the implementation of the activity plan of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Agency for Technical Regulating and Metrology of the Russian Federation and the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of metrology.
