Scientific Activity directions
VNIIFTRI is the leading research Institute in Russia in the field of creation and use of State standards, methods and means of high accuracy measurements of time and frequency, big lengths and coordinates, Earth rotation parameters, acoustic, radio engineering, electric and magnetic values, substance and material physic-technical and physicochemical characteristics, temperature and thermal physic parameters at low temperature, radioactivity and radiation doses. In 1994, VNIIFTRI got the status of the State scientific center of the Russian Federation.
FSUE “VNIFTRI” scientific work areas are as follows:
- Measurements of time and frequency, big lengths;
- Radio engineering and radio-electronic measurements, electric and magnetic values measurements;
- Measurements of temperature and thermal physic values in low-temperature region;
- Measurements of hardness, physic-mechanical properties of materials, media, and characteristics of building materials;
- High static and pulsed pressure measurements;
- Electrochemical measurements (pH-metry, ionometry, conductometry, coulometry);
- Acoustic and ultrasonic measurements in air, water and solids;
- Sound speed in liquids;
- Measurements of characteristics of ionizing radiation and nuclei, atoms and multicharged ion nuclear constant fields and sources; gamma resonance and X-ray-fluorescent analysis;
- Aerosol, hydrosol and powders, air ion, heterogenous media parameter measurements; measurements of clean rooms, controlled media and production processes;
- Gas humidity measurements;
