Postgraduate study

Persons having higher professional education may become postgraduate students on competitive basis. Full-time and postal tuition are possible.

FSUE “VNIIFTRI” trains postgraduate students on the following specialties:

01.04.03 – “Radio physics”
05.11.06 – “Acoustic instruments and systems”
05.11.10 – “Instruments and methods for ionizing radiation measurement; X-ray instruments”
05.11.13 – “Instruments and methods for natural environment, substances, materials and products control”
05.11.15 – “Metrology and metrological assurance”
05.13.18 – “Mathematical modeling, numerical methods, and program complexes”
All specialists, who become postgraduate students, have to pass obligatory interview with participation of a supposed scientific adviser who informs selection commission about his/her consent to provide scientific supervision.

Application to the Postgraduate Study should be put to the name of Director General; the following documents should be attached:

1. Diploma copy;
2. Questionnaires;
3. The list of published scientific articles, inventions, and reports on research work in case the candidate has scientific work experience, inventions or papers.
4. Certificate of candidate exams results in case the candidate has passed the exams.

Documents for Postgraduate Study entering will be accepted from September 1 to 30. Preliminary exams take place from October 1 to 30 on specialty, philosophy and foreign language. Taking on Postgraduate Study: from November 1 to 5.

During Postgraduate Study, regular lessons on philosophy, foreign language (English) and specialty “Metrology and metrological assurance” take place. Postgraduate students are provided with necessary literature from the Institute library. Postgraduate students participate in the work of scientific seminars and scientific and technical conferences of VNIIFTRI. Their scientific papers are published in VNIIFTRI proceedings and in national scientific publications. The Institute management tries to find possibility to provide postgraduate students with accommodation, if they need it.
